Nokia E61i was available for Rs.26,000 brand new, so E71 is almost Rs.7000-Rs.9000 more. Hopefully the prices will go down, but as far as my experience tells me, the prices of E-Series phones rarely ever go down. It might go down Rs.1000-Rs.3000 in the next 6-8 months, but thats about it.
As today is the launch of Nokia E71, the phone is only available at Sheraton Karachi. From 28th-29th July 2008 onwards, the E71 will be available at United Mobiles and Advance Telecom shops all over the country.
UPDATE 28th July 2008: Prices are going crazy at the moment as the E71 sets are available at few places only, so the shopkeepers are charging a higher price than it should be. The price is changing constantly. We’ll probably see some stable prices when the sets will be widely available.
